Installing Movie studio platinum

I know version 9 movie studio platinum requirements are to have 2.8ghz I was wondering is 2.13ghz greater? here is the PC I bought. Thanks in advance.

2.13GHz is less than 2.80GHz.

Go ahead and install it anyway. It will run just fine, but it may be a little slow in some areas.

This is actually the wrong answer I am afraid... ;-)

When Sony says "2.8 Ghz and up", they mean Pentium 4. The guy has a Dual Core PC, where even a 1.6 Ghz version of that setup is faster than a Pentium 4 at 3 Ghz. So it's not about the Ghz numbers, it's about the architecture. ANY Intel Dual Core architecture is able to deal with HD fine.

Back in August, I installed VMS 9.0 Platinum Pro on my system that uses an AMD Duron processor running at 2.0 GHZ with 1 GB RAM. It runs just fine and since I"m only currently working with non-HD footage I'm not going to worry about not meeting the recommended specs.
