I see many very legitimate concerns regarding the pitfalls
of VV and VA 2.0 and I'm also very surprised that a company
of this magnitude would release a product with so many
boo-boos. I will say that the product is VERY exciting to me
based on the user friendliness and neat features, but then
there's the annoying things that shouldn't be there if the
product was first tested extensively BEFORE releasing it to
the public for a fee.

Let's not bash too hard on the hard-working tech people. I
know from experience that big companies who are always
pushing for that seemingly impossible deadline to release
new products can result in unintended flaws. The
'suit-n-tie' people need recognize when a product isn't
ready to be released into the public and postpone that date
until it IS ready. When boo-boos ARE released with the
product, every effort needs to be made to quickly remedy the
problem in order to help preserve the public's view of the
company's quality and service.

No, I am NOT a registered user...yet. I'll wait until most,
if not all, of the bugs are de-bugged. I just can't
bring myself to spend that kind of money on a product
I already know needs fixing. Knowing how great other SF
products are, I'm confident SF will pull through. But, I
think much damage is being done to the consumer's confidence
in SF with this latest twist.

Hmmm...seems like the only update that we asked for and got was the
drawing of waveforms while recording bug. I think maybe all of us
Vegas Video people may have missed an update by overlooking "Video
Factory" I checked out Video Factory yesterday, it seems like this has
all the same features as Vegas Video except it's more Streamline and
doesn't have as much Video Effects...actually sounds a lot like Vegas
Audio 2.0. That's SF actual quote, "has same award winning features,
but more streamline." They must mean you don't have to pay the extra
cash to get the additional bugs included with Vegas Video and Vegas
Audio. So why did I have to pay $600 for Vegas Video when Video
Factory costs $100.00 again?

It's not hard to be as irritating as you Irvin, in fact I think I did
it better, there was a lot of Nuendo die hards getting very upset, it
was very entertaining while it lasted. I will give you this though
Victor/Irvin, although Nuendo Still has a lot of bugs because it is
still a new product also, but there tech support seems to address it's
bugs a lot better than SF. Heck, I might even spend the time looking
for a crack for Nuendo, just so I can test drive it for awhile one of
these days, I'll probably try the new Pro Tools for PC first though,
Stankberg has always been a resource hog with their software and the
user interface always sucks.
