I am demoing AP7. There is a lot to like ... but it seems like it takes forever to open the folders in the plug-in manager browser. Then if you try to change the category that you want to place the plug in, it takes forever all over again.

Is this a known bug/ issue?

Do you have rough count of how many plug-ins you have?

We have seen sluggish performnace when a large number of plug-ins are installed.

I have not seen the move from one catagory to another take a significant amount of time. When you say it 'takes for ever", do you mean a second or two or 10 or 20 seconds?

Plus or minus 100 including VST and VSTi ... and a few doubled as DX , but not counting the sony native plugs.

However, as I use Novation Automap control these are doubled to well over 200 due to the additional automap plugins.

I also have had a couple of crashes when I attempt to instantiate a plug from the mixer window ... but not from the window the the little track icon opens (as in AP6 Iand earlier) .

I am talking about in excess of 30 seconds ... maybe a minute as a working definition of "forever."

I note I have had all the exact same plugins installed under AP6 and have had no similar problems.

I have the same issue. A lot of plugins and large latencies in A7.
I don't see anywhere near the same issue in the other Sony apps.
Creating a folder in the audio FX All folder takes about 30 seconds.
