Subject:Is it legal to seel my old Sound Forge 8.0?

Hey there, I've happily upgraded to 9.0 and now have an unused 8.0 sitting gathering dust (it is no installed on my machine). Does the EULA allow me to sell my copy of Sound Forge 8.0?

Thanks!

I believe license transfers are allowed. Serials can only be used for upgrade once.

Here's the EULA for specific details: http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/corporate/eula

Remember that your v8.0 license allowed you to upgrade to 9.0 and most likely at a very reduced price over purchasing a new full copy. In effect - after the "upgrade" your new license consists of V8.0 and v9.0.

I would be very surprised if they let you sell it. Or conversely - if they do let you sell it - you should not be allowed to upgrade to v10 from your current v9.0 license.

My guess is that upgrade limitations might be imposed upon the party to whom you sell your 8.0 license. To be sure, I would contact Sony. I am certain you would not be the first to ask such a question.

Good luck to you and your purchaser.
