Sony Vegas Pro 8 FX

Hello, I am wondering if anyone can help me with Sony Vegas Pro 8.0. What is wrong with it is that it only puts FX on one of the sides. Such as, if you were to split the image or video in half, only the right half would have the FX on it. This is very stressful and I do not know what to do anything. So please help me.

Thank you.
Darkegon.

It's a Preview Feature. Nothing wrong at all.

On the Preview Toolbar you will find the FX Bypass Icon "Split Screen View". By the sound of it you have set it to either LEFT or RIGHT hand side of for Previewing. This allows us to see what an FX is like on a particular Frame/Event.

Get that correct and IF you are still having the same issue get back here.

It is a Feature.

i don't mean to be rude to the op, he's not alone in his question, but it must be an age thing - i hated reading manuals when i was youger, hell i knew it all didn't i...

now i always read the manual (on or offline) with any new piece of software i intend doing anything 'serious' with - the age thing now is i quickly forget the more esoteric options...

how many of you read or consult a help file or manuals BEFORE asking a question on line?

age might be an interesting factor as well, the older i get the more prone i am to reading every page twice! (60)

now, the lbr or ny times book review. back then we could probably have had a few interesting conversations between cubicals on how to create macros on a bve9000.

and, simce our 'retirement' to the outback, we have clear windows in the toilet, so we can watch the birds, kangaroo's and other local wildlife, such as the posties arrival.....

i still love the line in sony's bve 800 manual that read; you will not be inconvenienced if you do not use this button. it was a red (looked like a reset) button that didn't inconvenience me when i pressed it. in fact, it didn't do fa as far as i could see.

too dark for wildlife, perhaps i'll finish the lbr review of 'the yiddish policemans union'.

Around thirty-five years ago, I was starting college and took a job working the overnights at an FM radio station. Alone in the studio playing progressive rock, the songs were long and the nights were longer, so I began reading all the tech manuals in the engneering department, sales training and programming information I coud find.

In just a matter of a year or two, as the revolving door saw many people leave and new ones arrive, the owners quickly realized that I was the only one that knew how everything worked and was quickly promoted to management (eventually General Manager).

It was those long, boring nights that pointed me in the direction to where I am today. I'm no "techno-geek" by any standard, but I still read the manuals...and yes, it's usually on the toilet.

Be careful with your toilet reading, folks....that's one of the best ways to get hemorrhoids!

Ouch!
