The short answer, as already detailed, is no.

I know what I do on occasion is export what I need, take it into AE or whatever, do the FX, then take it back into Vegas.

It's a pain to do, but if you really want the AE effect, whatever it may be, this does work.

You can use most AE plugins via Boris FX.

How about Satish's FrameServer? Use this to import into AE?

I don't think so Grazie. I've already tried that using an old version of AE (6,0) and it fails. Maybe someone is lucky enough to try it with the new verions ($$$) ;-) Anyway, why someone would try to export the timeline or an event to AE? Isn't it easier to do it all in AE once and for all? For instance, I don't see the same options for alpha channel in Vegas and I really don't think Vegas can replace AE, since Vegas, as Premiere Pro or CS3 or whatever, is just a NLE and AE is for Visual Effects :-)
Cheers,

Actually, I've had luck framserving from Satish's plugin from Vegas to AE CS3. I do that rather than render from Vegas, do FX in AE and then render again to import back into the Vegas timeline. Basically, I'm saving the time & space of the first render.

An example would be to use AE's motion tracking.... frameserve it out to AE, render the tracked vid (usually uncompressed) & then bring it back in.

"Just put your AE plugins in the borisplugins folder and it wil load them." Thanks for the reminder! I must made better notes for when I'm away from editing for a while. Again, thanks for pointing out the Boris plugin.
