Whenever I attempt to retrieve a saved preset using the lastest verion, I come back with an error saying that the preset is "not in a supported format" and that it "contains an unrecoverable error". Even after doing my start-of-the-year reformat/reinstall of my PC, I STILL had this problem. I now must go back and re-create all the presets that I used to have before this problem occured. Any ideas? |

So am I the only one experiencing this problem here? Have any of you Sony dudes tried replicating this problem? |

I am having the exact same problem, and therefore cannot transfer my presets between machines. SF 9.0d and Preset Manager 2.0f. (both are the latest versions) |

If it helps, you can work around this by excluding Izotope presets in the original file. We will be releasing a Preset Manager update with the forthcoming 9.0e update that will be able to handle these. Sorry for the inconvenience, J. |

Unfortunately Preset Manager under SF 9.0e still cannot export and import presets if they include the Izotope Mastering effects bundle. |

I downloaded Preset Manager 2.0f (build 79) on 7/31/07. I went to the download utilities part of the Internet and it was the same version. I downloaded Sound Forge 9.0e on 2/8/08 and did not see any update to the preset manager. This thread said there would be an update to the program. Will that be later? I have not installed the program yet. Is this only for SF 9 or does it work with other Sony programs. Does the install include a manual, e.g., PDF? Preset Manager is a separate executable. It is not included in the downloadable Sound Forge updates. A new Preset Manager update with the Izotope fix will be done soon. I will post something here when it is available for download. J. |
