Subject:SF 9.0 doesn't find all my VST plug-ins

I just recently upgrade from SF 5.0 to 9.0. SF 9.0 doesn't find all my registering VST plug-ins. Recently, I upgraded several of my plugin's from PSP Audioware. SF 9.0 doesn't find Master Comp or Vintage Warmer, even though I know they are present on my computer (other applications find them just fine). SF does find some of the other PSP plug-ins just fine.

Also, SF displays two entries for several of the plug-in's (I may have both VST & DX installed).

Any ideas as to SF is not finding these plug-ins?

Thanks.

Mike

Check the VST Effects page in Options->Preferences. They may be in the list but disabled due to some error while sniffing them.

Thanks for the tip!

Both plug-in's are listed on the VST tab. One shows as being active but doesn't show up when FX favorites list. The only difference I see is that is shows it's I/O as 4/2 wherease all the others show 2/2.

The other plugin (Vintage Warmer) is in the list but is unchecked & has an exclamation mark (!) beside it. It's I/O is 0/0. I'm assuming that it is finding some error but I don't have a clue what.

I really need to get these 2 plug-in's working as they are put of my main mastering suite. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Just check them in the dialog and either Organize or Recreate in FX Favorites.

I checked the one that was unchecked, Vintage Warmer, and SF indicates that it was loaded but it still doesn't show up in the Fx Favorites drop down. Should I be concerned that it's I/O channel says 0/0?

Also I still don't see PSP MasterComp.

These are my two main, mastering plug-ins so I really need to get them running.

Thanks.

Mike,

I saw your posts on the PSP forum and noticed that your versions of PSP plugs are not the most recent. Have you downloaded the correct (latest) versions. I have both of these plugs and several others and don't have any problem finding or using them with SF9.

Greg - I believe I have the most recent upgrades that are available to me for free.

VW - 1.6.5
MC - 1.5.4

I realize that there is a VW 2.0 but I believe that my versions should work just fine.

What versions of these do you have?

Thanks.

Mike,

I have MasterComp v 1.5.4 and Vintage Warmer 2 v 2.1.4. I should also add that all of my PSP plug-ins are the iLok versions.

Thanks,
Greg
