My future dream vegas will do everything that it is supposed too without any hiccups. It will handle all forms of HD. It will handle 3D HD. It will handle 20000 x 20000 pixel stills without choking. It will capture 7.1, DTS and be THX rated. It will have hardware acceleration for full screen timeline playback. It will be fully compatible (Java like) with all other operating systems. It will be fully compatible with all third party pluggins. It will have speech recognition capability for creating automatic subtitles importable to DVD-A 4.5. The rendering capability will be agnostic to accomodate over 80 core processors which will be here in 5 years. Like the "Jaws" guy said to the "bad" boat driver, "Your going to need a bigger boat"

I concur about better third party plug-in support. With all the money Sony has, I'm surprised they can't grease a few palms to get reputable companies like WAVES to support their plugins for Vegas.
