Is there any way to print sheet music from the tracks in AP6?

If you're using audio tracks - no.

If you're using midi - the best bet would be to export midi, and then import into a proper notation program - such as Sibelius. The results are really worth the effort, if you're looking for any sensible notation.

This is another feature I think acid should add.

Personally, considering Acid's typical user base, I'm not sure that adding such a feature would be a smart use of development resources. I for one would have absolutely no need for such a feature and, for those who do, there are specialized applications like the aformentioned Sibelius that does a far better job of this than Acid could in the foreseeable future.

Although I agree in principle, the progression of Acid over the years seems to indicate that it could be a full featured DAW software that is especially strong at working with loops.. The current Acid user base would certainly not have much need, but I am sure Sony would like to maximize customer base. Acid is doomed to be an also ran labeled as a toy if it does not up features aimed at musicians. Trying to compete with Sibelius would be foolish since it is a specialized product. However, many entry level DAWS feature a basic notation. Basic translation of midi data into notes is not very complicated. telling someone they should buy a $600 program to be able to print out simple notation is not very customer friendly when entry level audio software from other companies include this easy to add feature. The competition continually improves in the areas that Acid was originally created for. Many competing products handle loops about as well as Acid (and some would argue better) and offer significantly more features. Granted, many of them won't be used, but better to have and not use than to pay a similar price and get less.

Download the free version of Notator, import the MIDI loops and print.

I agree that this is not a high priority. Why would you need/want to print a score for the MIDI loops in Acid anyway? You would hardly be using Acid as a tool for writing an arrangement for a group of musicians. There are better tools to do that.

Personally, although I can read music pretty well, I never think in terms of notation when working within Acid. The audio loops are chunks of sound. Any MIDI loops are either improvised from a keyboard or entered on the piano roll screen - either way, notation is just a less informative, less precise way of thinking about the music that gets in the way of the creative process.
