Aqua highlight disappears from multicam on play

I think I have a properly configured 5 take multicamera track and I'm trying
to explore multicamera editing mode.

The selected take is hilighted in the tiled display of all the tracks when I am paused.
If I hit play, though, the hilight flickers and then vanishes. This leaves me guessing
about which take will be on the output. Anybody know how to fix this?

I notice that you didn't get any responses to your Feb21 question.

I just started having the exact same problem, on a fairly simple 2-camera shoot.

Did anybody send you an offline message about how to solve the problem, or did you find a way to solve it?
Or is it a Vegas bug?

Addition/clarification: It had been working properly ever since I installed Vegas8 Pro -- the problem just started yesterday.
Update: I uninstalled and reinstalled Vegas8a. Didn't do any good -- still have to stop the playback in order to see which camera is selected. Would that imply the problem is not in Vegas itself? In any case, this kind of makes the multicam editing feature unusable.

AND THEN THE PROBLEM WENT AWAY... without a reboot (I had tried that earlier, with no result), and without my making any other changes in the running environment. Leaves a queasy feeling, but at least the feature is happily working again...
