Tone Generator Plugin or Script

Does anyone have any recommendations for a tone generator plug-in or script that works for Vegas? I have Sound Forge, and I like that tool, but I was hoping someone could enlighten me as to how to generate a tone whose frequency I could modify over time (up and down as I see fit) using edit envelopes on the Veags timeline.

Thanks so much for any help.

If you can automate it - look at a free VST Theremin. Off the wall - but it will do just what you want

Anyway, I think it would be handy if Vegas Pro also had some Audio media generators. It already has video media generators, so why not implement a few basic tone generators (white noise, sine, square, saw, et al) built in to Vegas as well?

I agree, At the very minimum a 1000 Hz reference tone to go with
the colorbars.

why not just implement the "synthesis" section out of SForge?

That;ll give you multitude of waveforms and control over them. Could be worth chucking in SMPTE generation too.

Why not generate a 10 second 0dBFS 1KHz wav file and save it ? In the meantime....

Or a whole bunch of wahtever test-tones you may want. All in a little Test Tone folder.
