Download again. CRC errors usually mean your download did not succeed correctly.

Cyclic redundancy check; usually either the file is bad (like from a bad download). It can also mean that for whatever reason, the file is bad, either from a failing hard drive or CD/DVD drive. A bad CD disk will also do it.

It pretty much means that the file isn't reading correctly. Reasons could be one of many.

well, i've tried downloading the file three seperate times now, and each time i get the same error. this is the only error of its type that i've gotten, so i'm inclined not to think that my computer is as fault here...

btw, i also just tried downloading the trial version install, and got the same result.

Try downloading from a different computer. Or maybe have a friend download it and burn it onto a CD or pop it onto a pen drive for you.

thanks! that seems to have done the trick... i downloaded it onto another computer (on the same network) and that copy installed fine... makes me wonder what's wrong w/ my media computer...

It seems that once you get a bad download on a machine, it gets put into the cache. Then subsequent downloads tend to get that same bad file instead of really trying again. Downloading from a different machine forces a fresh download.

That's exactly what it does. It will download much faster the second time than the first.

What you need to do is go to Control Panel, Internet Options, (Under temporary Internet files) Delete Files.

It will then work correctly.
