Acid Pro 6d

NI Massive as VSTi synth on midi track

First- there are times after recording or after opening the project that the midi track does not play even though CC messages can be seen moving knobs in the VSTi- the external controller does not produce audio either BUT if you set track to inline editing and play the keyboard shown on the track or select events they play correctly.

2nd- I want to select all of a certain CC message and delete them- however I can select them all but delete removes everything on the track- I cannot delete individual CC events either- very frustrating- any ideas? I have removed all of the CC messages from the List editor and it plays back correctly from there but the CCs remain on the in line editor- arg!

<rant>
Been buying AP for many years but it just gets in the way far too often. I always think of Reason which has *rarely* had any issues at all with playback, editing, crashing, etc since its first release. That program is a high water mark for me in terms of what good programming can be. Just ranting because I want Acid to be the creative and useful tool I know it could be- but I am really not sure if I will buy the next upgrade- it just kills my creative flow far too often. Last time I was excited as they brought the chopper and odd time signatures etc- but they still leave me hanging with so many other things. </rant>

cheers-

C

ACID uses only envelopes on the main time line for CC (and AT, PB) msgs. To remove them you can delete or change the envelope for the specific CC msg.

The CC msgs of a clip are ignored on the main time line unless you import them a the track/event level.
