I would suggest the Vegas Pro 8 Training DVD from VASST. It's supposed to ship soon, and there is a special if you have purchased any other vegas training DVD's from vasst on it.

The ProType Titler includes its own help file, which is built into the main Vegas help.

There are two ways you can get to the ProTypeTitler help topics:

(1) When Vegas is running, press F1 to start the online help. In the “What’s new in version 8.0” topic, click the ProType Titler link (it’s the third row in the table that lists the new features). You’ll jump to an overview topic, and the Contents tab will open to the "Using the Pro Type Titler” book, which contains more topics you can browse.

(2) If you have the ProType Titler plug-in open, just click the ? button near the top-right corner of the Video Media Generators window. The ProType Titler help file will open, and you can use the Contents or Index tab on the left side of the help window to find the information you’re looking for.

We continue to develop the ProType Titler help, and we'll be adding new information and examples.

I hope you find the information useful.

We sure could use more "help" on the ProType (especially examples)...very complex interface with many new concepts. Certainly not intuitive but very powerful. There's lots the help does not cover.
One burning question: Is there any way to do something similar to "sync cursor" to matchup the Titler timeline and the project timeline?

No synch - I'm using, quite easily, Looping selection/region. Keep it in DRAFT mode and I can get - not too much FX stuff - a reasonable rate.

@SonyKevin

This request is probably misdirected, but *please* can we a timeline where the marker moves in jumps equal to 1 frame rather than fractions thereof.

I've zoomed right in, and still it takes 77 taps of the cursor to move 1/25 second!

This makes keyframing difficult as additionally there is no way to tell what the exact time on the timeline ruler is.

thank you.

I'd prefer a counter like all the other generated media so you can see the time location you're at. Hard to line things up sometimes with no frame/time #'s.
