Trial Version

Hi All.

I installed the trial version, then saw the upgrade price at $135 USD so decided to grab it.

After entering the serial number, V8 tells me it's going to reboot to register properly, but when it does, after registering online with Sony, the opening (splash?) screen still reads Trial Version, 29 days to go.

1/. Has anyone else seen this?

2/. Any ideas on how to get proper version happening?

Cheers

Andy

Think if you click on "help" on Vegas tool bar you'll find a place to enter serial number.
That should get you up and running Andy.

Sherman,

Yep, did that, Vegas rebooted, (to get into full version mode), but still came up Trial Version.

Andy,

I had the same issue...

I uninstalled the trial version and reinstalled version from the link that was provided to me during purchase and registered it successfully.

Not sure why it mattered.

Take care

Vegasmon,

Thanks for that. I'll give it a go.

I actually uninstalled the trial version, then installed the 'real' version, but it didn't make a difference.

I'll follow the link and see.

Are you sure you have the right serial number? Before I bought V8 a serial number for it showed up on my My Software page. I tried entering it but had the same reaction you did. After I bought V8 a second serial number showed up on my My Software page as well as my email box. That one worked.

For some reason I have 2 serial numbers for Vegas8, DVDA 4.5, and SF9 listed on my My Software page.

Where did you see the upgrade for $135?
My email says $149.

Click on the link and go to the Sony site, 135 is the download price...lower your gaze about 2 cm :)

Credit me with a LITTLE sense :)

Copied and pasted off my account on the Sony website.

Odd thing is, I just got home from work and thought I'd give it another try, and voila! It worked. It no longer reads trial on the splash screen!

All good!

Cheers,

Andy
