with it's GPU accelleration in MB editors 2 I use it in Vegas now and then. but I got it for 100 bux because I got a DVX when they were giving 1.0 out free with purchase. I think it's nice, but I don't really see why anyone using vegas would use the grading control in it because there is so much more control in Vegas for coloring with masking etc.... Really I think the VASST ReelPaks are worth it more than MB Editors 2.0. You can get all the reelpaks for the almost half of the half price MBE and have a ton of more presets. They plug right into Ultimate S or into Celluloid if you don't have Ultimate S, but with the Reel Paks and you'll have more presets and only be missing the GPU acceleration.

Anyway, that's just my .02

VASST's Celluloid rocks. I use it on everything I do (and tweak to taste). It comes very close to the MB looks and renders in a fraction of the time. That said...

One of the last things I would give up in my "FX" plugin bag is MisFire (the other half of Editors). IMO, it blows away anything you can do with Grain / Film Effects. That and Zenoté's Random are great tools if you need to go down the "junk" road.

Yes the built in grading tools of Vegas and the vaast tools ar ethe value conscience way to go. MB is nice for some things but the rendering is AWEFUL, when you can get the same looks with Vasst presets and the knowledge of a few of Vegas's tools and get it rendered in 1/100th of the time.

to be fair MB2 is GPU accelerated and is substantially faster than MB1 was, but the fact remains that for the money I don't feel that MB Editors is worth the money if you use Vegas, because of VASST's Celluloid and ReelPaks, even at half the price.

Yes! nothing even come close to the look and feel. Its alot more than color corection. I used to use another for faster renders, but they stopped replying to my newbie questions. so I stopped using it. There, 2 reasons, quality and support. Same with my Boxx Computer, sure its pricey. but when was the last time a tech who actually builds the computer answerd on the second ring and spend hours till the problems solved (1995) and did I mention a 3 year waranty. and its a hot rod. Ill gratefully pay extra for both these products.
