Marco, search this forum for many, many instances of camera scams.

Usually the deal is you cannot get the full camera package for that price, you have to buy the warranty, the battery, etc and etc. Or if you turn down there hard sell, the camera will suddenly be on backorder for two months.

A quick look at www.resellerratings.com shows that thecamerapros.com gets a rating of 1.58 out of 10.

See for yourself...

Obviously, there is no way that they could be considered a reputable dealer. Just go with B&H Photo. They ARE a reputable dealer.

LOL! None of the above came with my FX1 from B&H, and if you totaled the price up of these items maybe would come to $2599 without the camera.

Run, and run away very fast.

I don't own stock in the company, but I will never buy from anyone other than B&H. Sure, you may get a rude person once in a while, but that's OK. You know you're paying a fair price for a product, they ship what they say they will, and they don't 'mysteriously run out of your ordered product' if you don't buy an upgraded package.

Priced at 3,449.95 at B&H you're sure lucky you don't live in Sweden... Here it is 4,220 USD excl. VAT.
For those who speak German, there is a German saying: "ach die dumme schweden"...
And I see now that the Swedish version (PAL) is 3000 USD at BH, some 1200 USD below. Do they send them in First Class on the Concorde to Sweden? It even pays going to USA to get one, and enjoy the vacation at the same time...

I've had great success buying things on eBay. Bought my VX2000, FX1, HC3, expensive wide-angle lenses, Sharp Minidisc recorders... Not burned once, though maybe I've just been lucky so far. Prices have been roughly 1/2 to 2/3 of retail, and the three cameras have been nearly new. No issues whatsoever.

The only real drawback is that you need to be patient and bide your time, learning what prices the market will bear. It's also very important to invest in a "sniping" program to place your bid in the last 15 seconds or so.
