SubMixes?

Does Vegas support submixes? i.e. can I submix audio tracks 1,2,3 to a master volume/pan and separately submix tracks 4,5,6 to another master volume/pan, then mix the two submixes for final output?

I see the audio bus stuff. But I can't see any way to pick only a certain set of tracks to go to each audio bus.

is this type of function beyond the scope of Vegas? or is it there, and I just can't seem to find it?

Thx,

2G

By default, all tracks are routed to the master bus.

Create the Sub/AUX buses you want.

You then route the tracks to the sub buses as desired.

Do the tracks assigned to sub groups follow channel pan in V 7?

Sorry, that's what I'm missing. How do I specify the tracks I want / do not want to route to a specific bus?

Thanks.

The main track assignments do. Sending from a track does not.

On the track you select the destination bus.

When multiple buses exist, the track area displays the current route. (when routed to the master bus, it looks like a square with in a square.)

Click on this and you can select the main output destination for the track.

You then do this for each track as you desire.

FWIW : This is covered in both the on-line help and the Vegas user manual. Both are a worthwhile read.
