Ahhh, another way of doinbg it! Thanks, I might give that a try too. My Virtualdub render failed last night. Froze up like Dr DivX would normally do.

Actually I'm having trouble this way too. My problem is that I uploaded a 720p HD file that I rendered from an uncompressed avi compressed to DivX using the DivX converter. Then I came up with the much better 960x544 format using Vdub and I just assumed I would be able to upload it. I can't. From your posts I see that you can't upload Vdub generated DivX either. There is some kind of flag issue where Stage6 checks some kind of code that only "Converter" and "Dr. DivX" set and won't let the file upload if it isn't there. This wouldn't be so bad if there weren't issues with "Converter" and "Dr. DivX". "Converter" won't let you access the higher quality render modes, and "Dr DivX" doesn't deal well with uncompressed video. Neither will accept any regular HD codecs like Cineform or Huffy or Lagaryth.

This is just getting harder and harder! I can post 720p ok but now what I want to do is post video with a single 960x540 field. Why encode an interpolate up to 720p when the player can interpolate on playback. I can get a beautiful looking 960x544 (544 because DivX wants multiples of 16) file rendered that looks as good as a 1280x720p render and is a very streamable 1600 kbps, but I currently can't upload it. This is so frustrating! It should be easy.

Now it's working. I'm uploading a VDub rendered DivX file as I type this. I don't know why exactly. This time I named it with no spaces and put it in the root C: directory. After logging in and checking my videos, I noticed there was a partially uploaded video in a "pending" state. I deleted this. Maybe that was that was causing a conflict as I tried to upload a file with the same name again. I don't know yet. Whatever it was, It seems to be fixed now. I'm going to work out exactly what's going on and rewrite my steps. One thing I know now is that for the most part, Dr DivX isn't a very good program after all.

Earlier today I could not make it work. Now I can't seem to make it fail! My VirtualDub renders seem to upload just fine now. Earlier today I posted a rant on the DivX forum. Maybe someone changed something that affected this. I did get a request from DivX tech support to "be my friend" on my Stage6 page. In any case, a VirtualDub conversion of a Cineform AVI using DivX for the video compression and the Lame mp3 codec for the audio seems to upload to Stage6 just fine now. Now that it works, it is by far the easiest way to do this.

Great, that's good to hear! Thanks for all the extra trsting.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that you can't have spaces in the file name. I learnt that pretty early on. I kept getting that upload error which stated that it was Stage 6's fault.
