Kontakt 2.1 not playing in stereo -ACID Product Family

I recently purchased Acid 6 and coming from a Sonar World it's a little different. The problem is that when I load my NI Kontakt 2.1 in I only get the left channel of the sample, however that left channel plays through both L/R of Acid. Let me make sure I'm clear on this. Lets say I have a stereo sample loaded into Kontakt 2.1, if I play that sample and pan it to the right in the Kontakt intrument, I will see the Kontakt meters showing the sound is playing but no meters are showing in Acid and no sound is being produced. Now if I take that same sample in Kontakt 2.1 and pan it to the left in the Kontakt instrument, the Kontakt meters show the sample playing from the left out only in Kontakt but both the meters and the sound are in the L/R output of Acid 6 (Kontakt left only is playing in both the L/R of Acid). All my other VSTi's play in stereo just fine (including the bundled Kompakt Sony version) only the Kontakt does this strange left channel only thing. Kontakt also plays fine in stereo in Sonar. Is this something someone might have an answer for? Being new to this program I simply might be overlooking something - any help would be appreciated. -thanks

It seems that Kontakt 2.1 reports all outputs as mono(older versions worked fine). I've seen it mentioned in NI's forum several times. Hopefully it will get fixed in the next Kontakt update. As a temporary workaround you can pan the output 100% to the left. Add output 2 and pan it all the way to the right. Then the output is stereo. Bo

I bought Acid 6 because I use Vegas and am comfortable with the interface and I thought that since Acid had the same look and feel as Vegas, I would fall right in. However this is not the case as of yet - this may be due to the fact that I am just learning the Acid work flow. But this Kontakt 2.1 problem is a big one for me as much of my work is done in Kontakt. So as of this moment, Acid is of no use to me until I can get the Kontakt thing worked out.

I posted on this forum first because of my newness to the program and I wanted to see if the fix is a simple oversight on my part that long time users might know the answer to. Contacting Sony is next.
