Click on the effects chain icon in the track header to bring up the available audio effects. By default you will have EQ, compression, and one other already in the chain, but all set to no effect. You can choose several types of graphic EQ or choose even more.

Thanks for responding Chienworks, however, I am not finding what you are calling the "effects chain icon." I click the "effects add on button" that is located in the left of the audio track and the one located in the audio control at the bottom of my screen. All I get are some available plug-ins. I can't find the area you're identifying.
Help!

Are you using the FULL version of Vegas? If so, to the right of the track name in the track header, you should have a Record, Phase, then the Track FX Icon.

Lesser versions of Vegas don't/may not support DX pluggins.

I have found the Vegas Track EQ very useful -- for more than just individual tracks. Sorry, don't know whether it comes with lite versions of the software.

Hello!
Does Vegas 6 come with the track eq/compression/etc? I'm looking in my plug in chooser and I can't find the "Track EQ" Plug in!

Thanks!

Full versions of Vegas have Noise Gate, Track EQ and Track Compressor by default loaded in each track as far back as I can remember up to version 5. I don't have 6 but I'd bet V-6 does too.

BTW, Are you clicking on the green track FX icon in the track header > Sony folder?

Remember, only the FULL VERSION supports DX plug-ins.

Yup! I'm clicking actually on the "All" folder in the poug in chooser. There is a new set of effects called "express" Eq, "express" dynamics, etcetera. Is there anyway to load the plug-in's from my vegas 5 disk?

Thanks!

Vegas 6 has what you are looking for, if you click on the track fx icon a window should open up showing the fx chain, if no fx are selected for the chain you will get a large menu of Fx's to choose from. you click on an effect, then click add then ok and your effect is added to the chain. If a chain already exists, when you click on the track fx icon the fx window will open showing the fx chain. If one does exisit you then click on the add fx icon and the fx menu will show up. Follow the same steps described above to add another effect to the chain. It's actually quite easy.
