This isn't strictly a Vegas question, but Vegas is the only thing that helps me and I wonder if anyone else has had this problem:

I have windows xp pro sp2. 99A% of the time when I put a CD-ROM into my drive it shows no files in Explorer. If I use Vegas or Sound Forge's "Extract Tracks from CD" or whatever it's called, suddenly the files are visible in Explorer. It doesn't matter if it's an audio or data CD. It must be some conflicting driver or Windows setting, but I've scoured the web and found nothing.

I even replaced the drive only to see the same thing happen! (Luckily I needed the new drive anyway for its DVD capabilities...)

So I have a workaround, but this isn't how it's supposed to work. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it very much.
