Subject:Sony says no separate activation?

Well I'm preparing a new 64 bit DAW and will be installing all of my software on it shortly. I sent Sony support an email regarding the re-activation of my AC3 encoder which I purchased with Acid Pro 4. I now have version 5. They say that all I have to do is install 5 on the new machine and activate it and the surround sound encoder will be there. Is this what everyone has been finding to be the case?

I purchased and installed the Acid 6.0 upgrade some time ago and for the first time today attempted to encode an AC3 file. Instead of success, I was prompted with a pop up window to purchase the encoder for $199. It obviously did not register when I upgraded. What is up with that? Can anyone help here, I'm on a deadline.

I just had to choose register by phone and input my encoder serial number and everything is working now.
