I've had this problem ever since I've been using V4 ... maybe someone can help?
I always capture raw footage from dv tape using vidcap 4 to separate subdirectories (a new one for each tape I capture).
When I use Options/Preferences/Disk Management
and click "Add Folder", the program almost always crashes.
I need to restart it 2-3 times to get it to produce a file folder listing to choose from, to specify where I want to capture my footage to.
Any ideas on how to solve that?
After 2-3 times, it finally lets me choose the subdirectory, but not until it's crashed 2-3 times in a row first. Somewhat frustrating.
I suppose I could always capture to the same subdirectory and then move the avis to separate subs, but I'd rather be able to choose subs w/o crashes for each new tape I capture.
Appreciate if anyone's found that too, and a workaround?
(I'll also try scenalyzer as an alternative, but it's a bit intimidating, all the choices... can't find where/how to choose subdirectory to save avis to... will try it though)..
thx,
Ken
