trouble de-interlacing snapshots in Vegas 6

I used to do this all the time in Vegas 5 without problems.

In Vegas 6, I try setting project properties to Progressive/Interpolate. When I save a snapshot, the picture remains interlaced.

Thoughts?

I would make sure the clip properties are set correctly for progressive/interlaced. Just tried it in my Vegas 6, and it works as expected, i.e. the snapshot is interlaced if I set the video clip properties to progressive, but it is deinterlaced correctly if the video clip properties are PAL (as they should be in this case).
