With 8.0a I can't appear to get Cut/ Rt click/ Crossfade to work.
If this known, apologies.

Also, SF8a randomly decides to deselect outputs 1&2 of my Layla 24 card and chooses outputs 3&4. Resetting the outs either will or will not result in them being still set there on the next boot-up: very odd and never a problem with earlier versions.

Thanks for any insight.

We are not aware of any issues with cut/right-click/crossfade. What sort of problem are you seeing? Keep in mind that crossfade is only available in the context menu if no selection is made. If you need to do a crossfade with a selection you can find it in the Edit menu under Paste Special.

As to the Layla question, I believe the Echo drivers support multiple clients (both WDM and ASIO can be opened simultaneously), but how the individual ports are enumerated in one depends on what is busy in the other. It sounds like there is a conflict where another application holding ports 1&2 open and when Forge asks for 'the first two' ports, it is getting back 3&4. Which driver are you using? What is the Sound Mapper set to? Do you have anything else running?

Thanks.

Yes indeed. It appears to be Kontakt2 hosted by Sonar 4.02 causing this. Kontakt is forcing SF to select alternative outs. This is provable by simply removing it from Sonar. Any thoughts?

My cut/right-click/crossfade is now working. Over the course of the day I reloaded SF several times but to no avail, so I posted. However retracing my steps, I had installed your Preset Manager that morning and, as it had immediately appeared in the dropdown, had not bothered to re-boot. On re-booting I had my cut/right-click/crossfade. So I figure that it was the installation of the Manager that screwed things up a bit.
Anyway thanks for your help and seven happy years with SF.
