Before I Load 6B...

I have installed DVD+A 3 onto my system, but haven't yet installed Vegas 6 yet. I have one quick and easy question. I really don't care about the new Media Manager and just want my good ol' Vegas desktop. Does the install provide an option *NOT* to install the MM and the MS-SQL components? I'd prefer not to install this stuff on my system if I'm not going to use it. Or, do I have to remove it after the install and disable the MM in Vegas 6? Thanks for any info you can provide.

I don't think you can skip the installation of these components, but you can disable them afterwards.

One thing's for sure -- you want to make sure that you get Vegas 6.0b, as there are many fixes in it. One of them repairs after-capture crashes when Media Manager is disabled, so you'll probably use that right away!

I have noticed that part way through the Vegas 6 install it will say that Vegas has been installed and that the Media Manager install will now continue. At that point you are given continue and cancel buttons. I suppose you could try cancelling and see what happens. I haven't tried it yet myself though.
