Super Duper

My 7 year old daughter was a beta tester for the new 'Super Duper Music Looper'. (BTW, She said the UAD-1 workes flawlessly in that application!) She even likes it better than her 'Pro Tools For Tots' software. She was told that as soon as the Sony engineers perfect a new Diaper Genie that doubles as a nanny surveilance camera / video game / DVD player - they will fix the metronome bug in Vegas.

"The metronome bug is (finally) fixed."

That's a matter of interpretation. In my view "fixed" would mean that it now works correctly in Vegas 5, which of course it doesn't. So if I want a working metronome, I've got to shell out another $150 (or $200 if I wait past the end of the month). I simply don't see how this can be called a fix.

Drbam,

OK, I saw the 150 offer somewhere before and can't seem to find how I exploit this discount. When I look in my details, I am offered the same old $199 for Vegas 5>6 upgrade. Where is the details of getting the 150 price?

I received a promo email from Sony which is fairly standard in my experience. Recently Sound Forge 8 offered had an extra $50 discount as well. I usually get 2-4 emails during a promotional period but only one of them offers the deepest discount. Typically this "special" lasts about 30 days or a little more as is the case with Vegas 6 which expires at the end of May I think. If you're a registered Vegas user and didn't receive the notice, I would contact Sony (make sure to have your serial # handy). I did this on one occasion awhile back (can't remember which app) and they simply gave me a discount code to enter for the extra $50 off.
