I personally think it would be VERY wise to start with Vegas Movie Studio + Architect in multi-language....and have a light version to include with laptops and video cameras...get the name rolling and push the perception of real added value to the consumer...(as in a stable working piece of software for a change...!)

I think in the more pro segment people are more used to deal with the English lingo, especially the tech stuff...Where there is potential too is in training I believe!

So Spot, want to translate your Vegas 6 editing workshop and make it universal (as opposed to worldwide...)?

In France, there are very few professionals who use Vegas (majority use AVID, FCP and LIQUID).
I'm the moderator of a french forum, and many user ask for a french version.
When Sony bought Sofo, some Sony French salesmen said the next version of Vegas will certainly be multi-language... but nothing at this time.
I can understand, french market is too small
however some time i dont understand Sony :
-Some Sony camera are delivered with Liquid edition.
-Some Sony Laptops are delivered with Premiere.

The french market isnt limited to France. A lot of Candians I know speak French have expressed a lot of interest for a French Vegas. Its not as small as you think .:-)

French canadian here, while I can read and write english fairly well, it's not the case for most of the other french canadians.... Localized versions would indeed be great.

IMHO all of you can find some enthusiast with simple programming knowledges in your countries, who can made a localization path.
Or the main problem with translating texts?
If Russians enthusiasts made localization patchs, why other can't do the same?
