16:9 and 4:3 Same clip

I brought in a 16:9 and 4:3 footage to my timeline then I split the clip where I had switched my dvx from sqeeze mode to 4:3 and the footage both changes on the whole clip.

Can you explain that in some more detail. Possibly the problem is that you're changing the media properties and as you onoy have one piece of media both events will be affected.

Press S to split where you want to change the aspect. Then apply what you want to one or the other.

thats the thing, i split>change 1 of the 2 and both change
