render speeds between a 2600 and a 3200!!!

I just finished up editing a wedding and I'm rendering the elementary video of the event. When I rendered on my Athlon 2600, the fastest I could render was about 66% realtime. This time, I'm rendering on my laptop with an Athlon 3200 and my render speeds jumped to 120% realtime....woot.

Someone should list average render speeds to non-transitioning, effected clips and post speeds so we can consider cpu speeds when looking for a new computer....wow...what a difference 600mhz makes!

For a complete report on my first wedding, I refer you to my post at dvinfo.net: http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?s=&threadid=38560

There is a render test on the VASST site that many have used for testing with a standard benchmark. We've done a new one, as soon as it's feasible to post, we'll post it.
Great increase! You gotta love that!
