Subject:ACID 5a update before the holidays?

I am hoping we get the 5.0a update, before the ACID Dev crew takes a long, well deserved break, for the holidays. If not, it probably won't be until Winter NAMM 2005 or after. Personally, ACID Pro 5, has been extremely stable for me and I have been quite satisfied with the overall performance, but there are a few things, nothing major, that I would like to see addressed::

1) The Project Looping bug fixed: You can't adjust the Project Loop points, during playback, without the Now Time, skipping back to the beginning of the new start loop point.

2) Not really a bug, but the constant scanning of the VST plugins, (I've got lot's of them), can get somewhat annoying. I would like to see an initial scan when you first install, but then make it a manual scan, from the VST tab, in Preferences, as needed.

3) The Ctrl+Alt+F shortcut for inserting Folder Tracks does not work. Not a biggie, as I just created my own (Ctrl + F ) shortcut from the Keyboard Tab, in Preferences, but it should be fixed.

4) In Rewire mode, I would like to see the ACID screen have an "Always on Top" mode. Like many plugins/utilities, if you left or right click, at the top left hand corner, there is a menu where you can Restore, Maximize, Minimize, Close....etc, there is sometimes an "Always on Top" mode. I like to resize the ACID screen, in SONAR, when rewired, so I can see both screens. But whenever you click outside the ACID screen, it automatically closes to the desktop. I am constantly reopening it, whenever I make an adjustment in SONAR. It would make for a better overall, user experience, if we could keep the ACID screen static, in the Rewire host.

5) Not a biggie either, but it should be fixed, the "What's This" (Shift + F1) does not work in the Media Manager tab.

I am sure there are a number of other issues that affect other users, and could even affect me, at some point, that I just have not uncovered yet, but with the way I use ACID and my particular workflow, these are what concern me the most.

Happy Holidays,

Billy Buck

if they'd just fix the auto-preview bug they can go on a holiday for years after that, as far as i'm concerned. :P

so yeah, an update would be a very welcome christmas present.

although it's not really a bug i'd like to see the live triggering of one-shots developed more. where you can actually here the sound as you trigger and also trigger more than one track at a time. MIDI input added to this feature would also be nice.

I would be happy if it would just quit crashing every 5 minutes
