Do you want to keep 4 discrete tracks?

Vegas, by default mixes your audio down to a stereo mix (2 channels).

You can create 4 channels by changing your project to surround sound. Of course, you need the hardware to pass the signal out that way and to record it, a recording device with multiple-channel inputs.

My experance :
I recoard the 90 min movie that Including video and 4 track audio to my betacam from V5!!
I use real time preview and recoard it,
but about 30min after the video and audio seems not sync together(maybe audio is more slower and video have some break noise) !!!
So I think V5 must rander this all stuff than print to the tape that quality will be better!!!
But VV seems only can rander 2tracks audio with video !!!
I want to print 4 tracks aiudio with video to my tape !!!

Vegas won't capture 4-channel audio either. I don't know of any programs that will output 4-channel. Scenalyzer will CAPTURE 4-channel.

Vegas sould be able to ouput 4 channels if you have a 4 channel card and the correct drivers. But a DV AVI standard is 2 channel stereo.

You would need to find a codec that supports 4 channels.
