Vegas 5 and WXP SP2

I worked fine with Vegas 4.0 and 5.0 in WXP. All decks and camcorders worked fine.
I installed the SP2 and the worst happened. My main deck Sony DSR-30 is not recognized anymore. I have over 200 hours of footage in 184 min DVCAM cassettes, and it has been impòssible to get it working with SP2, although all other machines work.
No one has given me any solution to my problem, neither from Sony nor from Microsoft.
So now I have one machine with WXP to be able to work with DSR-30 and another with SP2.
Any idea of what happened with the 1394 driver?

I ran into the same problem on one of my 3 machines using a Sony DSR1500a deck when I updated to XP SP2. On just one machine (Dell) I can only capture with my PDX10 camera but not with my 1500a deck. All other machines work with the deck and camera. On the problem machine I roilled back XPSP2 and the decks now works again. I'm still trying to figure this out but an XP SP2 rollback is what I'd advise near term, painful as it is.

It appears changes have been made to msdv.sys since SP2. Check my reply:

Hope this helps.

I have only just upgraded by XP PRO to SP2 when I saw this thread about capture not working. I have just tried capture & all I can say is that it worked OK for me.
