importing wmv file

Hi, I imported a wmv file into vegas, and for some reason only the audio will play, and the video becomes all black. I have another wmv file almost the same as that one, and it worked fine in Vegas. Is there any reason why this file won't load into it? (btw it also won't load in DVD Architect)

Also, how come in the explorer window in Vegas the folder "My Videos" doesn't show up??

Update your wmv codec. Get the latest WM player.

Your problem is most likely due to lack of keyframes in the wmv file.
You can fix this by re-encoding with the WM Encoder, free from usoft.
Set keyframes to every 2 secs and Vegas will be able to handle it much better.
