When I tried to record audio to midi in Acid using the M-Audio Audiophile in Windows XP it would record like one then it froze up the program, then windows then I got the blue screen with this error - STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000047, 0x805ID9BD, 0x80550288, 0x00000000) I turned off hardware acceleration and now it doesn't crash anymore or freeze, instead it doesn't record anything! I hear the sound being played but no sound is recorded in the output wave file. Whats up with this?

Sounds like a device driver failure. Update the Audiophile's drivers if you haven't done so already. Might want to try to update your video card's drivers as well if possible.

If that doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall ACID. (Be sure to pick up the latest update.)
