Panasonic PV--DV702D issues

Hey all,
First time posting. I ran a search for my issue in the past forums but didn't find anything so I figured I'd post a new topic.

I'm using Vegas 5 and I've installed the drivers for my Panasonic PV-DV702D DV Palmcorder. The problem is, is that Vegas is not picking it up as a video source. I've searched high and low for any updated drivers and couldn't find a thing, even on Panasonic's site. I've gone through the help files and I didn't come up with anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm running Windows XP if that helps.

Best,
...tom

You are connecting this using firewire right?

No, I'm connecting via usb 2.0. Both options are available to me. I'm assuming that Vegas captures video through usb 2.0 since the logitech quick cam that i had hooked up to the computer via usb was recognized. Am I wrong?
