Ok, I've been studying this problem for a week now and I've found my problem.
I have a composition that I'm using for a motion background in DVDA1. When I render out using the default AVI template and HuffyUV compression the field order is Lower first. When I watch a DVD with this motion background in it my moving events have bad interlacing on the left and right edges.
If I render out the same way with "Upper first", everything is perfect! It must be the field order. Should this be the way that it is? Why is a DV avi assumed to be lower first and a HuffyUV avi upper first?
If I use my HuffyUV encoded video in a vegas project does vegas interprete it as upper field first also?
