V5 Render Lockup

Getting more frequent V5 lockups near end of MP2 renders of 90 sec. segments. These normally take about 45 minutes. "Time Remaining" shows zero, but percent stops at 90 - 97%, while elapsed time continues to run (for many hours). No error message. Select "cancel render" and program locks, requiring a Task Manager escape. Check for the rendered file and find it has either partially or completely rendered. These segments have rendered 20 or 30 times previously without problems (changes are made to timing and sequencing in iterations. Plenty of drive space, and no other major programs runnig on 3 Ghz Pentium.

Are you using an MPEG render template or custom settings?

If you render to .avi first and then render the MPEG, does that work ok?

Post the info here and we'll try to help further-

Will get more details next time, but this is default template modified for progressive, highest quality, 2 passes. Locks at end of 2nd pass. The render is sometimes actually complete, even though screen is locked near 90%.
