V5 QT

Does V5 include an upgrade to the full Quciktime Render module?

V4 doesnt implemnt QT as fully as other PC apps and certianly not as fully as mac apps. Like no MPEG4 mov video settings and MPEG4 audio during render.

MPEG4 mov is in Vegas 5 , but it is such an bad codec, i have NO idea why anyone would use it for anything ..

to get decent quality from it you have to have pretty high bitrates and the file sizes become bloat city ...

Sorenson 3 will give much better results and if you buy the pro version of Sorenson 3, it will integrate with vegas renderer ...

i dont know what you mean about not integrated well. Do you mean the fact that QT acts like spyware, keeps poping up anoying messages, have broken versions, that its a coin toss if installing a new version will screw up something else in your system, will keep trying to change your playback file registrations, have the worse GUI for thier playback player.... or the fact that its a nessessary wrapper for FCP .....
