The DVD architect compresses the audio file for playing in a DVD player. In Vegas 4+ we can produce high quality 24 bits 96 audio file. How can we produce such high quality audio file using DVD architect?

In Vegas, render as a PCM 24-bit, 96 kHz, stereo WAV file:
1. File | Render As...
2. Set Save as type to "Wave (Microsoft) (*.wav)"
3. Click the Custom button
4. Set Format to "PCM (uncompressed)"
5. Set Sample rate (Hz) to "96,000"
6. Set Bit depth to "24"
7. Set Channels to "Stereo"
8. Press Ok
9. Press Save

The resulting file will be DVD compliant and will not be recompressed by DVDA2 when preparing the DVD.

Thanks! I have DVDA1. Would this work in DVDA1?

Yup. In DVDA1, you need to set the audio format to PCM stereo for each asset in Optimize DVD dialog (File | Optimize DVD...).
