Fun Stuff Thrillcat.

I used to hang out int Des Moines. I went to Drake for 3 years in the early 80's and used to do stand-up there.

Actually, there is a link to the band. They have always been one of my favorite bands, and I became good friends with them, even worked for Justice Records in college for awhile. Great guys. When the band broke up, they gave me their blessing to use the name for my production company. They were happy to see it living on in one form or another.

Early 80's I would have been about 10 years old living up by Fort Dodge... :)

I used to do the grave yard shift at 1350 KRNT and the FM was automated

45's and carts no digital anything. I had Radio TV classes at Drake and we would edit video using the Sony RM440 controller and two 3/4 inch umatic decks.

If only I were doing it all over and with Vegas instead.

Oh well, showing my age

Well, don't feel bad. When I got started in this business in 1990 at WOI, we were still using the RM440 and two UMatic decks. :) By the time they went BetacamSP there, the other stations had already moved on to DVCPro.
