PRINT TO TAPE FROM TIMELINE CRASHES VEGAS 4

I AM HAVING A PROBLEM RENDERING THREE VIDEO TRACKS TO TAPE. ALL HAVE FADES.. THE CAMERA/PRINT TO DV HAS WORKED IN THE PAST (BOTHE MANUAL AND TIMECODE), BUT EACH TIME IT GETS TO A CERTAIN SCENE IN VIDEO TRACK 3 (AFTER PRERENDERING ABOUT 190 SCENES...OUCH) THE CAMERA GOES TO A BLUE SCREEN AND VEGAS STOPS WORKING AND I HAVE TO 3FINGER IT TO GET OUT OF IT..

I CHECKED THE VIDEO TRACK FOR ANY ERRORS VISUALLY, BUT I DON'T SEE ANY DROPS. MY ENTIRE NIGHT HAS BEEN SPENT TRYING TO GET PAST THE :11 OF THE PRINT TO TAPE.

HELP APPRECIATED.

Is the camera a Canon? does it go to sleep while you are prerendering? I used an Elura at one point that did that, never hung Vegas though (had to recycle camera power to get it back).

Can you render the entire project as a single DV clip? If so, render it out, load into a new project and print that (or print it with the video capture app).

here's my solution....i bought another 1394 card and hooked up my ext case, my dvd writer and dv camera no daisychaning..reason being that i WAS daisychaning camera into back of 120G ext. case (drive G)...i never believed the daisychain 'doesn't work' , i was able to capture to the same G drive with the DV camera plugged into the back of it simultaneously, it didn't suck bandwidth any time i used it.

...the real solution...my prerender files were saving to the G drive [ext case], but yet it was trying to read an AVI on the G drive simultaneously...the point on the timeline where it stopped is where that file on the timeline started! it stopped Vegas dead...too much information for it to handle all at once, but thanks...ps it is a JVC DVL9500, not a Canon.

Thanks for the response, the only one I have ever gotten on here.......
