Only have two media files, yet my DVD player says '8 titles'

This may be a problem with the DVDA not being able to go from video to submenu instead of going to root menu..

I have some Q's...
I dragged onto my 'first screen' two media files, then clicked and 'chapterized'
I then go back, right-click, and picked 'scene selection'
I moved them up on the screen, then I deleted the initial two media files so I can jump to the individual chapter screens when I press either of them.
I have 17 text-only links to those chapters.
Everything works GREAT so far when I preview all... but here is where it gets hairy......

Being a perfectionist (ha!) Since there are basically only two media files, I thought my DVD would read "Title 1" or "Title 2", then the current chapter, time, etc as it plays.....yet I have played my DVD in 2 machines and have 2 totally different repsonses...one DVD player says there are 8 titles (?!) The other says 4. Could the 2nd one be 'more correct' because I deleted 2 files, and since there are 2 left it is counting the 'invisible' ones I deleted??

2nd question....why does my DVD player say "Title" instead of "Root" when it loads??

!!!!!!!!!!!AAAAARGH!!!!!!!!!!!
