Everything was fine but > NO VIDEO WAS CAPTURED ¿?

Hello,

I have a serious problem when trying to capture video from my Canon MV20
camera.
Everything seems to be all right, my computer and HD are fast enough, and
I can control the camera from Vegas.
I start to try to capture.. it's ok, no dropped frames, etc, but at the
end of capturing, Vegas opens a window named "CAPTURE COMPLETE" and says
"NO VIDEO WAS CAPTURED" plus "Session length: 0" , "Average frame rate: 0"
etc, etc. (everything is 0)

Ps1: I have no problems capturing with another known programs ¿?

Ps3: I can't see my hard drive button to enable DMA, so I son't know if
it is enabled or not. Clicking on properties for my two HDs it says
something like "Primary IDE controller: Dual FIFO".

Ps2: should I install any specific driver for the camera?

Any help would be appreciated.
Saul

Let's see your Capture settings - one can capture Audio without Video. AND you can capture Video without Audio - hmmm....

Apologies if this setting is correct- But no harm in checking - eh?

Marquat - are you asying this is a "known" bug with the demo version? Or are saying this is done on purpose so that potential customers to VV need to purcahse?

I think needs to establish if it is the Demo version first - hmmmm . . I should have asked the question, if I had known this.

Cheers

I don't think this is a hardware problem but just a software setting.
More than likely this is caused by the "Minimum clip length(seconds)". You can change the setting in Video Capture under "Options/Preferences" ("General" tab). Just remove the checkmark.

Okay dokey! I upgraded from VF in November/December - FUll install of version 3.0c. I didn't use Demo version at all - yeah?

Thanks for the heads-up. We still don't know if Saul has the demo - or do we?

Thanks a lot Stany; you were right.
Just unchecked the "Minimum clip lenght" and it works smooth as silk.

Anyway, it was stablished in 1 second so I guess it should have worked checked or not.

Grazie: It's a registered version of the program.

Anyway, I love it :)

Thanks everyone for your help.
