hi there,
there no reason not to add DVD Audio mastering in CDA5, is there ? both sequencers and sound cards nowdays support 24bit and 96khz or more.
it's also a pure audio format, just like Audio CD.

Not really, DVD-Audio supports much richer metadata, much moreso than CD-TEXT. It also supports still images to display during playback, and richer navigation commands. It doesn't make sense to include it in this application, which is very focused on creating CD Audio discs.

Yes...but as SonicDennis said...there is alot more to DVD-A authoring, then just simply burining audio to a disc. People have to remember DVD authoring is not quite the same as CD pre-mastering: differcnt spec., ore layers are involved, etc... DiscWelder is like a poor man's/PC equiv to Sonic Solutions DVD authoring applications. It is specifically intended for authoring DVD-As, not just burning them, ala Nero, Roxio, etc.
If Acid does provide some time of DVD burning capablility...I'm pretty sure most people would be disappointed, because they would be expecting more for something that is somewhat "complex" to create in a loop based sequencer. IMO.
