Desired feature for new CD-A

Geoff_Wood wrote on 10/8/2002, 5:06 PM
If the DX chains are applied "per track", this will make CD-A more than just a redbook CD authoring software, but a full mastering app too. Think about it, not only adjusting absolute levels and crossfades, but dynamics and eq as well.

However, to ease of use, it should be configurable to have plugins applied 'per track' or to the whole caboodle.

Again, request for CD-TEXT support.

As for your first request, it's already in there.
Don't know about the second.

"Real-Time DirectX® effects on events and master bus"

Events, as in tracks...I suppose.

I would assume it would provide the ability to edit tracks in Sound Forge, like VV3.

Yes, and yes.

Usually, there is a one-to-one mapping of events to tracks, but there can be multiple events per track (a track composed of multiple media files), or mulitple tracks per event (live CD).
