Something to think about

Ive been reading all the posts about why SoFo decided to discontinue CDA, and SoFo encouraging people to go with Vegas Video3.
Let me ask you techs at SoFo something.

If you say you had to discontinue CDA because it didnt sell good enough, and because you guys had to code all the different burners that were coming out, then how did you guys get around all that to put CDA into VV3? You say the mastering tools are the same as CDA.

Why cant you make the same code available as a plug in tool for SF6.0 that you have in VV3?

Can anyone answer that for me? Im very curios.
Thanks!

I would think theyd sell at least 10,000 plug ins or upgrades or whatever because it seems everyone here is begging for it.
Sometimes you have to do what will fill a need for your valued customers, the ones that have been with you since day one. Heck, I used to sell tons of SF products when I worked at a large music store in DC. Do whats best for your users, even if it doesnt make sense at the time business wise. Goodwill sells future product. Alienating your customers and ignoring the problem wont.
Cmon SoFo, like Nike says.....just do it.

If you look through the last year of posts on this forum, you will see that we have time and time again begged 'SoFo' (I like that :->) for an update, a plug in, a whatever and they responded with VV3. That is their answer. Would it have been smart to raise the price of Sound Forge 6.0 $50.00 and include it? I think we all know what the answer to that question is... But, nope...

Actually, it's pretty ironic if you ask me. A company that produces sound products is 'deaf' when it comes to their customers.

I agree, it sure as heck seems like they could give a rats patooey about their pro users.
Cant wait for the new "Sonic Foundry Wave editor for pre-k kids!
Record your babysitter and make their voice sound like Darth Vader or Yoda!

It'll sell like hotcakes.

Oh yeah, it'll have CD architect built in as well!

Actually, they have a program that does that... (It doesn't have the CDA though).

It called the Tuttie Fruity Fresh and wait!! Oopss. It's called the Super Duper Music Looper...

I think it is like Acid for Kids!! (That sounds so bad on so many levels...)

It's Sunday and I've been in the studio all weekend long working on this record... I think I need air!!
